Who We Are
The Dallas County Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC)
is administered under the leadership of Metrocare and is funded by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
We serve as an access point for personalized information & guidance to individuals residing in Dallas County who are seeking long-term care services and support programs.
Our Mission
Our mission is to serve as a key point of access to long-term care services
& support programs.

What We Do
The ADRC serves as a trusted place where people of all ages, incomes,
& disabilities can get information and one-on-one counseling on the full range of long-term services and supports available.

- Making it easier - Individuals & their families can access long-term care with less frustration and confusion.
- Providing decision support - The ADRC maintains a resource directory and offers unbiased options counseling to help individuals find and access appropriate long-term support services.
- Streamlining access to services and supports - The ADRC collaborates with local service providers, such as the Dallas Area Agency on Aging and Community Care Office, to streamline the referral process

Advisory Board
The Advisory Board advises on the operations of the ADRC.
The board includes representatives from all program populations, such as those with disabilities and chronic conditions, along with public and private service providers, government agencies, and other program participants.

Members of the advisory board
The following are the key responsibilities of the board:
Work positively to influence strong community support for the ADRC
Actively encourage collaboration between organizations
Provide support and advocate for the ADRC.
Advise the ADRC on how to obtain meaningful stakeholder input.
Hold regular meetings to provide guidance on specific programs and/or operational issues.
Serve as a "think tank" and sounding board for new ideas, recommendations, and input regarding the progress of the program.
